IDENTITY AND VISION

St Joseph’s Boulder has a rich history and a strong focus on the future.

OUR IDENTITY AND VISION

School Motto and Crest – Our crest includes a head-frame as a symbol of the mining industry on which the towns of Kalgoorlie and Boulder were established. The cross symbolises Christ as the centre of school life. Our motto, Sharing is Caring, describes the pastoral care that is freely given to members of the St Joseph’s School community and emulates the Josephite tradition of seeking out the underprivileged and minority groups in order to provide assistance to those in need. We have recently selected a new school motto – Faith, Kindness, Respect – and our school crest will be updated soon.

Our Vision – St Joseph’s School, Boulder, works to be the school of choice within our community by striving together to ensure excellent educational and social-emotional outcomes for every student so they can contribute to the world with the spirit of Jesus.

Our Houses – Each student from Kindy to Year 6 is allocated to a House Faction. Students compete for their House during sports carnivals and can earn House Tokens for good behaviour choices and class-based rewards. Our Houses are named after now closed gold mines in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder area: Trafalgar, Ivanhoe, Hastings and Hainault
